Meet Mayor Mark Freeman
Mark Freeman, a lifelong Mesa resident, was elected as the city's 41st mayor in 2024 and assumed office on January 7, 2025. With over 60 years in the community, Mark and his wife, LeeAnn, cherish their three children and nine grandchildren. After dedicating 31 years to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, retiring as a Captain Paramedic, Mark served on the Mesa City Council from 2017 to 2024, including a term as Vice Mayor from 2019 to 2021. As a descendant of one of Mesa's founding families, the Crismons, he continues the family farming tradition and actively participates in community organizations. As Mayor, Mark focuses on public safety, economic growth, and preserving Mesa’s rich heritage while planning for a sustainable and prosperous future.
